Program Description

The London Motor Neuron Diseases Clinic Team is an inter-disciplinary group consisting of neurologists, physiotherapists, occupational therapists, speech language pathologists, dietitians and social workers, who have expert knowledge about motor neuron diseases.

The team consists of worldwide leaders in ALS researcher and was the first hospital in Canada to study the impact of this devastating neurological disease on memory and other brain functions.

The Clinic's goals include:

  • to provide education, monitoring and timely interventions to clients and their families
  • to promote regular communication between the family doctors, community health care providers, and the Team
  • to act as a resource for the family doctor and others caring for the patient in their home community
