Bio Sketch

Dr. Ng received his MD from the University of Toronto in 1990. He continued his education at the same institution to complete a neurosurgery residency in 2000 and a spinal instrumentation fellowship in 2001. During his residency, he received his PhD degree in Spinal Cord Regeneration. He joined the staff at London Health Sciences Centre in 2001.

Dr. Ng is currently Associate Professor in Neurosurgery and Western University. He is heavily involved in Medical Education. He is the Co-manager of the Neuroscience Curriculum at the UWO Schulich School of Medicine & Dentistry. He is the Clerkship Coordinator for the Neurosurgery Program. He is the Chapter Director of London's Think First Program, an international society that promotes head injury prevention among children.

Research

Dr. Ng has done extensive research in the area of spinal cord injury focusing on how to promote recovery and regeneration after spinal cord injuries. He is currently interested in medical education of undergraduates and post-graduate students and is undergoing projects related to the practice of Neurosurgery and the public perception and professionalism of neurosurgical issues.
