Bio Sketch

Dr. Venance earned her PhD from Queen's University and her MD from the University of Ottawa in 1997. She continued her neurology residency training at the same institution, followed by a Neuromuscular fellowship at the London Health Sciences Centre and a muscle fellowship at the University of Rochester, NY.

Dr.Venance is currently Assistant Professor of Neurology at the University of Western Ontario. Prior to joining the faculty in 2004, she was Adjunct Instructor in Neurology at the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry in New York.

Research

Dr. Venance's research interests lie in patient-centred research in muscle diseases and channelopathies and medical education. She is a member of the Muscle Study Group.
